AXO fuses safety and style with the Striker 9to5 shoe Following the success of the Striker shoes, AXO introduces the evolution of its urban riding shoe: the Striker 9to5. Built for maximum comfort on and off the bike, the Striker 9to5 utilizes an innovative BOA® Closure System instead of the bulky buckles and dangerous laces found on other riding shoes. Featuring a ratcheting spool and stainless steel laces, BOA® Technology allows you to find the perfect fit and fine tune it any time you need with a twist of the easy to turn ratchet. And when the ride is over, the AXO Striker 9to5 is just as easy to take off with an amazingly simple quick release opening system. New to the Striker family is the Vibram® sole made of motorcycle specific rubber compound. Constructed of abrasion resistant PU coated Action Leather, the Striker 9to5 comes equipped for the ride with ergonomic ankle protection and a durable shift guard.

    • are this boots Waterproof?
    • No they are not. But they are cool and keep you smiling even with wet feet!

    • The Striker boots are known to be unusually narrow for their size. Is this also true of the Striker 9to5 shoes?
    • We took into consideration the feedback from our customers on the narrow fit of the Striker. Which was due to the touring sole used with it. The new Striker 9to5 is wider and has a softer sole, oil resistant and made by Vibram, yet stiff enough for motorcycle riding.

    • Are these Vibram soles replaceable?
    • The soles are not replaceable.

    • Is the Striker 9to5 available in US size 9.5? Everyplace I've looked does not have this size.

If the answer is "no" what size do you recommend for someone that normally wears a 9.5 shoe?
    • There is not a size 9.5, but since it is a conversion from European sizing, we suggest size 10 if you are looking for a 9.5.

Good Shoe - Not a Boot Review by Walt
Like the name implies, this is a riding shoe. Very comfortable! I also own AXO riding boots and even the Striker Boot.

If I had to wear these shoes all day at work because I forgot to bring other shoes to work to change into, these are plenty comfortable for wear all day. Walking in these is not an issue.

Other comments: Very Flexible and Easy in and out with the BOA Closure. In my opinion, also good for Dual-Sport riders where the off-road part of the ride is mostly roads that would be passable by a 4x4 vehicle. For serious off-road, a true boot might be a better choice for additional protection.

Good shoe but they squeak Review by TabortonTTDerek
Good riding/commuting shoes (not boots - doesn't cover much of your ankle). Ratchet system is easy to use. With the laces loosened a bit if feels just like a sneaker, but the toes are hard enough to shift easily without feeling it on your toes. I like to tighten the laces a bit when I actually ride in them so they move around less like a boot would. The only thing I don't like is that they squeak on most hard floor surfaces, I've been using mine every day for about 6 months now and they still squeak. (Posted on 5/17/13)
