AXO is from the Italian "asso", which stands for ace or the winner. The "ss" was changed to "X" because our very first products were motocross boots.

AXO in the beginning was also written with the 3 Greek letters Alpha Chi Omega and that adds another meaning. Alpha and Omega are the first and last letter of the Greek alphabet and they are also meant to represent the beginning and the end. Therefore AXO is the beginning and the end of X sports.
